Each 1st Tuesday of the month, we host an open surgery with elected labour councillor for Monument Ward Teresa Cairns.

This is an opportunity for local residents, business owners and facilitators to discuss in person any queries and concerns they may have regarding activities in the Monument Ward constituency.

Labour Cllr for Monument, elected in 2019; I have a background working in Adult & Further Education in the NE, London, Brighton & Sussex. I was project manager of a range of research projects while working at Sussex Uni & spent 10 years evaluating community/adult & further education work across Brighton & Hove, before retraining in Horticulture. I’m currently Newcastle Council’s Food & Wellbeing champion, working with food & health networks to improve access to food & support improved wellbeing across the city.
