Summerhill Bowling Club is bursting with character and is the perfect place to host activities and events of all kinds – from Weddings to Corporate functions, Concerts to Ceilidh’s and everything in between!
Since being taken into community ownership in 2011, it has been transformed into a flexible, attractive venue with a recently renovated pavilion and a large lawn available for private hire. The Pavilion retains its original structure, while a neutral finish inside makes it possible to create a bespoke theme and décor for your event.

Outside you can pitch a marquee or gazebo, play lawn games, or simply enjoy the tranquility of our peaceful gardens.
Food and drink

Our licensed bar is fully stocked with a range of locally sourced beers, premium spirits, wines, and soft drinks. There is a minimum spend requirement of £250 if you wish include the bar in your hire.
You are welcome to use our small (but well-equipped) catering kitchen. We are always happy to recommend external catering on request. We can also accommodate for pop-ups and street food vendors.

Entertainment

We can offer a stage area and a sound system for you to use for entertainment, included in the hire.
